Connect an AI assistant

Let Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant read and look after your mail, with only the permissions you give it.

An assistant connected to Clova can find a message, sum up a thread, make a temporary address to sign up with, or write a draft for you, through Clova's MCP server. It can do only what you allow, and it never reaches your billing or your plan.

Connect it

  1. In your assistant, add the address https://clova.email/mcp: in Claude or ChatGPT, as a custom connector.
  2. When it asks, sign in to Clova, choose what it may do, and select Allow.

There's nothing else to copy. The setup page says how, for each assistant.

Or use a personal access token

For a script, or an assistant that can't sign in: in Settings, under Developer, select Create Personal Access Token. It's shown once, with each assistant's settings filled in.

What it can do

You choose, for each:

  • Inbox: Read lists your inboxes. Read & write also makes, changes and deletes them.
  • Message: Read lists, searches and reads your mail. Read & write also marks mail read, pins and deletes conversations, blocks senders, and writes drafts.
  • Send mail: sends drafts. It's a permission of its own, so an assistant can write a draft for you to send yourself.
  • Profile: your name, birthday and phone.

Disconnect it

In Settings, under Developer, select Disconnect next to the app. An app you haven't used for 90 days is disconnected on its own.
