Every guide, by what it is about.
Getting started
- Make your first addressEvery address you give out can be an inbox of its own. Pick the kind that fits who's going to write to it.1 min
- The kinds of inboxPermanent, one-sender, prefix and temporary. What each one is for, and who it takes mail from.2 min
- Sign in with a passkeyNo password to remember or type. Your phone or computer proves it's you, with your face, your fingerprint or its screen lock.2 min
- Sign in with GoogleUse the Google account you already have, with no password to keep here.1 min
- Connect an AI assistantLet Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant read and look after your mail, with only the permissions you give it.1 min
Inboxes
- How a one-sender inbox locksYou're giving an address to one company or one person, and nobody else should be able to write to it. This is how the inbox decides who that is.2 min
- Let more senders into a one-sender inboxYour bank writes from a second domain, or a colleague needs the same address. Let them in, up to five senders in all, and take them off whenever you like.2 min
- Make up addresses with a prefixEvery shop, list and booking wants an email address. With a prefix, you make up a new one for each on the spot, without opening Clova first.2 min
- Temporary inboxes, and what happens to their mailYou need an address for a day or a week, for a receipt, a sign-up or a trip. Choose how long it lasts, and whether its mail goes when it ends.2 min
- Permanent addressesThe address on your business card or your website, which anyone can write to. Add another, switch one off for a while, or delete one you no longer use.2 min
- Switch an inbox off, or give it an end dateYou don't need an address for now, or only until a certain day. Stop its mail, keep what it already has, and switch it back on later.2 min
- Delete an inbox, and bring an address backYou're done with an address and want its mail gone. Delete the inbox, and if you need the address again one day, take it back.2 min

- Pin a conversationKeep up to three conversations you keep going back to at the top of the sidebar, whichever inbox you have open.1 min
- Block a sender or a whole domainSomeone keeps writing to you. Stop their mail in every one of your inboxes, or a company's from every address it writes from.2 min
- The spam folderWhat the spam folder holds, why a message went there, and how to empty it.1 min
- Pictures and logos beside your mailWhy some senders in your list have a photo or a company's logo, and others their initials.2 min
- AttachmentsOpen the files people send you, and attach your own, up to 25 files and 40 MB on one message.1 min

- Confirm a forwarding addressYou added an address to forward to, and it says Not confirmed. Open the email Clova sent it, and confirm within 60 minutes.3 min
- When forwarding pauses, and how to resume itA notice says forwarding to one of your addresses is paused. See why, and resume it once that mailbox takes mail again.2 min
- Keep a copy here, or notForwarded mail can stay here as well, or only go to the other mailbox. Choose for each inbox, and see what stays here either way.2 min
Account and plans
- Plans compared: Free, Pro and BusinessYou want to know whether Free is enough for you, or what Pro and Business add and what they cost.2 min
